My first post in this forum. Hope someone has the answer (assuming one exists!)
I would like to paint ( or otherwise restore the finish) on a fiberglass shower pan. Anyone out there who has done this successfully? Unsuccessfully?
I know that the best way is to replace the pan. Unfortunately, that will require major reconstruction of the entire bathroom. I’m trying to hold the job to a modest facelift, since everything else is good.

Never done it but you are recoating an epoxy surface.
First you need to etch it. then recoat it.
Not meaning to sound glib but remove all the metal (drains , faucets, etc) and coat it with stuff from the boat yard. Matching colors is tough, even white is a color.
Look in your yellow pages for a tub refinisher and hire them to do it. There are special paints that work well for the job that you have in mind BUT it is NOT a do-it-yourself project. Ask about the guarantee that your refinisher offers and also ask for local references. Check them out too.
