My daughter wants to retile around her shower and tub because she doesn’t like the gold fleck in the tile, but the tile is in excellent shape. Has anyone found a paint that covers and holds on ceramic tile? Also her cast iron tub is showing signs of wear. Are there any good liners for old tubs? Thanks for any help.

retile it with her- but do it right (ie don't ask for opinions at box, get real advice). ask ask ask if you need to. if it is an old ci tub that has a certain appeal, get it re-epoxy painted. no liners. if the tub has no particular emotion, go with a new tub/shower base that you can tile up from. budget will dictate, but she'll use it every day, so be happy rather than rich....
Had a client who got his tile shower stall and sink re-coated by the 'Miracle Method' people... possibly a franchise with a location near you?
Not sure how long you're looking for the finish product to last, but I've hired someone to "re-glaze" a clawfoot tub, two porcelin sinks, a fiberglass tub/surround one piece unit, and a formica countertop. He did it with laquer based products, I think, or epoxy coats, may have gotten his materials through Sheriwin Williams, not positive though. However, he did his job with an HVLP sprayer, and it was/is beautiful. Found him in the yellow pages, under shower re-finishing, I think.
