I’m prepping my 60 year old house so I can repaint it. Scraping the red cedar clapboards has left me with 30% bare wood, 50% very old oil based paint and 20% latex paint. I don’t think I’m able to remove any more loose paint. I plan to use a latex paint. What primer should I use? Oil? Latex? What about bleed through from the Cedar? What about adherence to the three different surface conditions? I want to do it right?
