Some of you regulars may have seen my posts early this year which discussed ways to do a 2×4-sized corner post in a 2×6-wall job. We framed the job earlier this year, and did it with 4×4 TrusJoist Parallams running from bottom plate to under the header arrangement. Not quick, not easy, but we got it done.
Now we’ve a client that wants a copy of the house built on their lot, but in the interest of speed, wants the job panelized. And, they want that same corner detail, which brings the window glass close to the edge.
My question is for those of you who have worked with panelizers. How creative are they, and are they willing to do the funky things needed when a design calls for stuff like this?
I have some inquiries out to panelizing companies that will ship in here, but have not yet begun the details of the dialog. I wanted to see if any of you have had experiences like this with firms that package houses.

Deoends on how busy they are, the attitude of the staff, and stuff like that.
Get someone who lies a challenge, and they'll likely be willing to try it. Get someone with a bad attitude who doesn't want to do anything, and you're likely out of luck.
