I am planning to put a plaster coat, or parge on an existing brick fireplace during an upcoming remodeling project. This includes an expanded steel membrane, and masonry-anchors to bond the plaster to brick. Do I need to include any other considerations for a long-term finish -given the heat flux.
Thanks,
Bubby
