   Hey Ross,

   The best parging mix depends on the cement you use. If your using portland and a sealbond go four shovels sand, one shovel potland, and half a shovel of sealbond. If your using masonry cement three shovels sand and one shovel cement. I'd go with the portland and sealbond it's stronger.

   Hi fellow construction guys and gals! Does anyone have a good mix ratio for parging a foundation? What proportions for Portland, masonry cement, sealbond, sand? I haven't parged for years, but the last one held up without a crack, I wish I could remember how I did that! Any suggestions? Thanks.

   Ross,

   Just make the mix on the "rich" side (more portland). This will make it "stick" better and not fall off when you put it on.
