I just bought a used paslode 350 framing nailer. Mostly because it came highly recommended at this site. And because the guy I do a lot of sub-contract work for has one and I can use his nails. The gun appears to be in cherry shape except that it dry fires on a regular basis. And from what I read this gun isn’t supposed to dry fire at all. Am wondering if anyone else has encounter this and any possible fixes. Failing that I guess I’ll take it to the distributor for repair. Rather do it myself to save time.
Thanks
Scott

Scott,
Check the sleeve of nails and make sure it isn't hanging up in the gun. Sometimes when the paper collated strips are handled several times (ie. putting 6 sleeves into your pouch) the nails seperate from the paper and they bunch up in the gun. It could also be a poor seal, where the driving pin isn't pulling back all the way to allow the nails to advance. Try a few drops of oil, if you haven't already.
*Scott Also check the track where you load the nails to make sure it is straight. If it has any bend in it that may cause hte nails to bind in the track. A quick stab and pry with a screwdriver should be able to fix it. If that doesn't work put a few more drops of oil in it.jim
*Try replacing the o-rings they come in a kit and are easy to install. Good Luck.
