Just bought the PC drywall sander and was wondering what else you have used it for. I was on my knees with a 6″ ROS sanding the leveling compound in a bathroom today and thought that it might do the trick, although I had left it in the shop. Anyone use this tool for other than drywall?

Can't wait for some ideas, I've got one and while I love it, it sure seems like it oughta be good for other things. Thanks for starting the thread...

LOL, it's good to have dreams...
I never met a tool I didn't like!

I installed a wood strip ceiling, and at the time the HO said it would be painted, so we didn't worry about grade stamps and such. We were almost finished installing 800 sf of the wood when she decdided it would be clear coated. So we used the PC sander to sand the ceiling in situ. Worked surprisingly well.
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
Was that the vaulted ceiling, the strips installed over drywall, maybe a year ago?
BTW, you don't have any medical history do you (as in, working in, not health issues.) I hear 'in situ' from my wife sometimes, she brings it home from the hospital.
And, while I have you here, why the name change back to the original?

Yep, that was the project.
No medical connection. Just happened to get that phrase in my mind.
Didn't notice the name change ... must be related to the glitch earlier today.
