I installed a new pegasus single lever tub/shower faucet, the type with a slip-on spout thats held on by a sinle allen screw in the base. The spout has a nylon insert that slides over a 2.75″ brass nipple which has 2 o-rings out near the end. The spout seems to take an extra amount of effort to engage the shower head by pulling up on the little knob at the end of same, which causes the spout to move just so slightly where it meets the tile. Tightening the allen screw in the bottom to compensate causes the spout to leak back through the wall, or so I’m assuming this is the cause.
Anybody had this experience and please, please let me know the cure.
Thanks, Charlie

I have no experience with this whatsoever, but thought your post needed a bump. I can tell you what I would do...I would curse at it and then throw things. Plumbing and me don't mix. ; )
If I am not mistaken they have an 800 number and good custoemr service.
IIRC that it the one that installed a few weeks ago and the instruction did not have the length for the spount fitting to stick out the wall and got it immediately when I called the 800 number.
Thanks Bill, but I've gotten a busy signal for most of the day and their answering machine the next day. I will try again on Monday.
