I have a set of plans for a new front porch, the posts are labeled as 12″ square permacast columns with a custom azek trim panel. It doesn’t seem like I can nail the panels to the column, so do I have to glue them to the columns? Anyone have any experience with these? Thanks.

You should be asking whoever it was that drew the plans.
Maybe it is 'applied'?

Permacast will accept screws. I've never tried shooting it. Are you thinking 15 ga. finish nails?
I've always screwed to permacast columns. Just be sure to drill first and check the hole size just about anything will wring off in those columns if the hole isnt right size
THanks for the replys. I havn't worked with permacast before, I was just assuming I can't shoot the trim on. I like the idea of using screws. Would you use stainless trimheads?
If the specs for the column are close, maybe you could just order the ready made applied panel or raised panel versions of the product?
Also, they have Custom PermaWrap Columns, to cover structural supports, that might fill the bill without you having to apply anything.
