we either use Pex or copper in all our houses. I like the clean look of copper better, however both systems deliver water just as well as far as I can see. The first house I ever did in Pex was my own ( I refuse to try something new on a customer unless they really press hard for it) and have been very satisfied. I would be happy to chat more if you are interested.

Thanks for the reply. I am an aggressive amature and just built a3000SF home. I feeel the same way you do. I don't really like the way Pex looks. Guess I am old school. I found my Plumber Ok trying to make clean runs but once you heat that stuff up ypu got the atlatlic ocean. It sways. But I did thewhole house except connections. I hope it works well in the end.

When your house is finished, if you did it right, you won't be able to see it anyway.
In the last ICF custom we used lots of 90 degree ells at the Manablock .it was staged out at increasing lengths so it looked a lot nicer in the plant room. I'll try to take a digital and post it tomorrow for you. We have never had a leak using pex, not quite as successful with copper ( though close). we also clamp it a lot more than copper. We use blue for cold and red for hot. The clay/ orange designates hard water in our homes. Don't forget that code requires shutoffs at the end of the lines ( under sinks, at toilets, etc. )
