Just want to say that guys like Stan Foster and Pro Deck keep me inspired. In this day and age when it seems everybody is concerned with sq. ft. cost and how much?… it is refreshing to see that not everybody is selling out. I like to think that I am meticulous and picky. I sweat the details like these guys. The money keeps everything rolling but my real satisfaction comes at the end of the day when I am by myself… (having a smoke)… and admiring my work. No amount of money will ever replace that feeling. Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only guy who cares not to settle on “good enough”. Then I see the stuff you guys do and I sleep like a baby. Stan: Built a couple staircases in my own home last year of walnut and wrought iron with major handrail, winders, upeasings etc. Took me the better part of 6 months at night and on days off. I would be standing there scratching my head and my wife would ask..”What are you thinking about”? I would say “I need Stan” “Who’s Stan”? she would ask. I say “It doesn’t matter, you would’nt understand”. I would post some pics but your work humbles me.
