I am building myself an entertainment center out of red oak, (well,..anything that shows is oak, used birch ply for the rest,….ok ok ok okmost of it is paint grade birch and the face frame and one side is red oak,..I am cheap, what can I say…) Anyhoooo
I want to match the brick where it is going to sit and the brick is a pinkish /white combination. I bought some miniwax pickling and it seems to do absolutley nothing to the oak. I even let it sit overnight before I wiped it off…Am I doing somthing wrong? If pickling isnt the answer can you tell me how to white wash it..to get the bleached/pinkish/white look.
thanks
