Greetings all. Thanks to some help testing from Boss Hog, I managed to fix the image upload for everyone so you can post photos up to 6 mb per post and a total of 256 mb of storage per user. Let me know if you’re having any trouble uploading pix! Matt

To all: A couple of other things that Matt told me today...
>There is a problem with the basic cache for this forum.
That is why that box on the left that contains current discussion, and post numbers is always the same.
They are working on fixing that problem.
>They are currently working on getting us the option to view the forums in either threaded mode, as we have now, or in "Flat" mode. What most of you are calling 'chronological'.
So, we will at some point, be able to choose to view the forum in flat mode.
When we have that option, then if we choose flat mode, we will also have another bonus.
In flat mode, every post will have a reference and a link to the post it was in response to.
Once again, Thank you Matt !!

Note -- I did not use the 'add comment' button because I wanted my reply to show as a reply to Luka's specific comments about threaded versus flat viewing, and other possibilities. And further, there was no "permalink" link showing in his post, so I couldn't reference it that way either.
In another thread, I posted about the "Permalink" function, and how I thought that it could lead to great and wonderful improvements -- improvements that might get us back to the level of functionality that we previously enjoyed.
Luka's telling of his discussion with Matt is further good news -- on two fronts.
First, we are now starting to hear news from the "war room". For a week or so, we were slogging blindly through the muck and "suck", with what seemed like no hope. Not quite so anymore.
And second, we now have reinforcement for the statements Taunton has made regarding "fixing it later". If they continue with these kinds of improvements, there is some possibility that this site will, once again, be a leader in functionality. And if it lead in function, readership and membership will follow (IMO).

For some reason I don't seem to be able to get a preview when I do pictures in a thread.
I can hit the preview button, and it goes to another screen. But what I basically get is what I already have - Just the text box.
Anyone else having this problem?
Just testing to see what...
Looks good so far....
Hope you guys don't start doing two meg attachments!
Next Q
How would I go about saving an image I see here. I always used to do right click, save as, and locate it where I want it.
Now right click does not let me have that option.
Piffin, you'll probably have
Piffin, you'll probably have to open the full sized version of the picture in order to have the option to save it.
Seems to work O.K. for me.
Piffin,
I tried that, myself.
Looks like you'll have to do two right clicks.
First right click is to open in a new tab. Second is to savethe image.
I'm with you on hoping we get
I'm with you on hoping we get that back, soon, as well.
Boss,
My preview button is still broke too.
And it is a major bummer, but I think it'll get working before long,... I hope!
OK -- I'm gonna try one.

This here is a pic of some things I had a bit of a hand in "making".
