I’m considering a kitchen remodel. It a small space, galley kitchen approx 16’x8′. I’m wondering if it possible to place the cooktop in the corner at an angle to the rest of the space. I’ve seen pictures of sinks and double ovens at an angle only one advertisment with this arrangement of the cook top.
If this is feasible would it be better as a slide in unit or cooktop and undercounter single oven.
Thanks,
HJW

I have seen ranges placed that way, so I imagine a cooktop would work, too. Cabinets might have to be custom, though.

I am a domestic goddess! I deserve three ovens (and two dishwashers)! I am a domestic goddess! I deserve three ovens (and two dishwashers)! I am a domestic goddess! I deserve three ovens (and two dishwashers). . .
It can easily be arranged. Cabinets on either side would be the standard ones - just insure that any doors or drawers would not conflict. Use a 1" or more filler strip each side, perhaps. The points to take care of are: support for the extended back edges of the countertops; the triangular area behind the stove (great place for spices, etc); and the similar triangle behind the hood (perhaps drywall the corner across).
Use whatever stove you fancy.
All the best...
To those who know - this may be obvious. To those who don't - I hope I've helped.
It's probably do-able but cabinetry may be a problem. You'll probably be looking at some custom cabinet work.
Just make sure that you maintain an effecient "work triangle" (convenient arrangement of the fridge, stove, and sink) or the kitchen will never "feel" right.
