I’m about to start installing kitchen millwork, the Ikea stuff that stands on legs, but it will be a few years before doing the floor, which will probably be 3/4″ birch. Should I put 3/4″ plywood pads under everything, including the range and dishwasher, so that everything sits flush once the floor goes down?
…I’ve got lots of 3/4″ scrap around and figure that it would be easy to keep the range, dishwasher, and base cabinets at the final height.
Thanks,
Scott.

I think I might be tempted depending on the layout: to mount the uppers higher to conform to the upcoming floor and then just adjust the legs on the lowers out to the max. Hang them well from the wall, maybe hold the legs back a bit more than the usual mounting spot. Run new floor up to them, reinstall the toe kick cover after ripping down to the new height. Block under the DW and then remove blocks and run new floor into the opening. Same for the range.
I suppose you could remove the tops and lowers and run the upcoming floor under everything ala European install.
