I am installing one of those nice frameless shower surrounds that
require a totally level and plumb shower floor and wall. Well, the
walls are plumb but the floor is 1/4-3/8 out over 36 inches.
(settling due to tile, mud, etc I suppose). I was thinking of putting
a thin strip of plastic, vinyl or metal stock around the bottom,
to account for the difference ( a little bit thicker on one side
than the other) Anyone know a source of vinyl or plastic? 1x36x1/2
??
Thanks

I built a custom shower last year and water got underneath the floor tiles and loosened a bunch.I think I may not have pitched it strongly enough. Now I've got to pour a subfloor, and it can't be more than an inch thick. What should I use?The existing base is a lightweigt concrete mix,and I'll scrape it clean. Thanks,John
