I’m building cathedral ceilings using 2×6 T/G decking. I want to place a vapor barrier on top of the decking (outside surface) prior to the BCI’s, insulation and OSB sheathing to complete the roof envelope. The roof envelope will be vented from the soffits to the ridge with cross ventilation in all the insulation bays.
Is there a self-adhesive product that will work as a vapor barrier that I can use instead of rolled plastic sheeting (visqueen)?
I sure appreciate any tips on this.

You lost me with all that.
But, take a look at this product from Dupont Tyvek. Ask Mike Guertin about it-he's seen installing in one of their brocures.
Dupont Tyvek AtticWrap.
I don't know anything about it, never used it nor heard how it does.

I watched the product video and it looks like this would be a product to place on top of my sheathing prior to my metal roof, however I need a product that will act as a vapor barrier to be placed on the the inside surface of the insulation just like in the walls.
Thanks for the heads up on this product however.

How about that plastic sold with adhesive back that is sold for carpet protection while working?Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

Nice thought, I just went to this site http://www.protectiveproducts.com/carpet.html and they have some wide application rolls that possibly would work. What I couldn't find yet was the permeability or lack thereof of the product. I would think that because its for carpet protection it would not be very permeable...
Thanks for the thought-
As permeable as Visqueen, no?Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks
