Remove the garage door. Or add a beam mid-span.
*sister another joist (or two) along side the sagging one. Or tie the mid span of the sagging joist to the peak of the roof with a vertical 1x6.
*You could build a temporary wall underneath to push it back up into place and then add a couple of stiff backs across the joist in the attic to hold them up. That should help.Ed. Williams
*Well you're not very clear. Do you have one joist sagging ,or a few, or all? I just finished a retrofit and I installed a stiffback and pulled the c.j.s up to meet it with angle iron and some allthread. Anchored them in place with more angle and 1/2" lags. Pretty quick and painless.
