Looking for feedback on these lasers. I am a Kitchen & Bath Remodeler that does a wide varitey of items from setting tile, setting cabinets, trim work etc.
Any thoughts as to the best way to go. Cost is not the issue, just want to make sure and get the right too.
Thanks
Frank

Hands down, the 2e will work for you best. You want lines, not dots.
"Kitchen and bath" means you are working inside, not out, and therefore you don't need the higher priced pulsating version with detector. The plain old steady beam line generator will do just fine.
I do all of what you mention. A few yrs ago I bought the PLS2, note there is no E. (a reciever is available for outdoor work now). You can still get the PLS2E without the rcvr, tho I think I would go the extra bucks and make the tool complete. One deck and I think you'd pay for that feature.
My PLS2 has done exactly as billed and for sure what I've expected of it. Leveling/trueing up soffits, ceilings/drop ceilings, cabs, rough frames and finish. Simple things like working to the line with corner bead for that flat and level tite soffit. Control line for cabs/electrical/etc. Get a Thirdhand pole and either use the magnetic bracket (not as safe) or add the Laser bracket for a easy set up, multirange of hts. Tile layout, both floor and wall.
Never used the 5.
I've had dealings with the company on several occasions. First rate. They donated the new PLS2E as a prize in last years Breaktime Fest. Down to earth and generous. Not often found today.
A great place for Information, Comraderie, and a sucker punch.

I have both.
not the E ... but both models.
I do all that U mentioned ... and use the pls2 10 to 1 over the more expensive 5.
every now and then the 5 is nice to have around ... but mostly it's an expensive lazer plumb bob for me.
kitchens ... baths ... trim/tile cabs ... definitely the + of the pls2.

I agree 100% with Jeff. Have the exact same levels. Good thing about the PLS 5 is that it is accurate to 1/8" @ 100'and is more visible but the 2 is amazing for interiors and exterior applications in lower light. PLS 5 is good for checking red iron, steel stud and window elevations on commercial if you don't have a rotary.Micro-eye
