I was wondering what you guys are sheating your roofs with. I covered the last house I built with four ply 1/2 ” cdx and the shit buckled so bad two months later that I had to replace fourty some sheets (after the happy homeowners had been living there). The stuff never saw water, and I had it papered the same day it was applied. The company sent their expert to check it out. Ten minutes, a couple of measurements and a 1600.00 bill later (which my supplier payed) he said it was probably because of the humidity, and the fact I built the house on a lake. My ins. wouldn’t cover it because it wasn’t my fault. No one would. I now use 1/2 flakeboard which seems to work OK, it doesn’t sag between joists as much as the thinner 7/16″ stuff.
