Its been a while since I posted but i am back.
I am looking for a program that shows a layout for a sheet of ply for cabinet parts.
Any help would be nice.
Thanks,
AE

Can't help you with your question, but just had to say good to hear you're alive. Last we heard from you was last summer and you were leaving for Pete's with some coffee mugs. Any left?
Welcome back and Merry Christmas.
*AE,Ditto on the good to hear from you. CabinetWare has a panel optimizer as does CabinetVision but I don't think you'd want to hear the price of either program. If you are going into the cabinet business it would be something to think about but for a one time deal there would be better things to spend 10 grand on. There may be some less expensive programs. Check out http://www.woodweb.
*dave.. good to see you back.. head over to the shed and let us set you up...

*The most popular inexpensive choice is called Sheet Layout;shareware, they have a limited demo, and then you can buy the version you need. I think a 'commercial' version is about $300 US. For a really professional version, Ardis gets a lot of good recomendations, but it's considerably more expensive, even for the basic version. You can find both on the web, but i don't have the sites to hand. My opinion is they work best when integrated into a cabinet design package so you can estimate a job in a few minutes, and send the info into the shop. There are still probably a majority of small shops that optimize the old fashioned way.
*AE, I'm a newcomer to this site have put in a few...nice to see another sapper in the midst. Can't answer your question.Clearing the way....to the shed....TDC
