My plans call for 5/8ths structural sheathing.
I’d like to use toungue & groove since the stud spacing is 24″ OC, but the only 5/8ths T&G carried by my supplier is underlayment. The APA structural rating is “Sturd-i-floor”, Exposure 1
How does this compare to normal 5/8ths CDX sheathing? Would their be any problem using this for side & roof sheathing?

I hope it's not bad form to bump one's own thread, but it got buried pretty quickly.
Keep in mind that the reasons for spec'd 'structural' shething is to resist shear. If this is truly the intent then there should also be included a nailing patern as well.
Actually the spec says "5/8ths plywood sheathing" I don't know why I slipped 'structural' in there.
Well I finally found my answer. I called the APA and this is what I was told.
Sturd-i-floor is fine for wall sheathing (though they said it's unusual that anyone would use it for that), since the shear strength rating is exactly the same as Structural 1, however, the live load rating is half of that for Struct 1 which means that it would not be good for the roof.
I also found their load tables after digging around their web site for an hour & it said the same thing.
I helped a homeowner once who insisted on using T&G on the roof. It was a HUGE pain in the butt. And there's absolutely no reason to do it.
I'd highly recommend re-thinking this. Use ly clips on the roof if you want. But not T&G.
