I have pocket door and the inner clip has come out of it’s socket. It is the type where a grooved post fits into a keyhole slot in the bracket in the door and is secured with a pivoting clip. Is there any way to put this back in without cutting a hole in the wall–I hope? thanks

I can't quite picture what you're saying, but most recent (less than 100-year-old) pockets are designed so that the trim can be removed on one (specific) side and the door tilted out to remove.
happy?
I guess you could cut a hole in the wall to get to it. But usually to get access to the rollers of a pocket door you have to take the casing off of one side and then take off that half of the jamb. THen you can get to the hardware.
I've also had some luck reaching the front roller with my hand, and doing some jockeying with a screwdriver, just through the slot in the jamb where the door glides. But if it's the back roller then the casing and jamb probably have to come off.
