Actually, I have 2 questions. what kind of space do you need around a pool table to be unobstructed. I want to build a room in the back of my new shop that is 14ft by 23 feet. I am wondering if the 14 is too small to accomadate a pool table. The plumber is roughing in tomorrow and that wall is critical. Should I bump it ouit to 16ft.
Next question:. I am putting up a prefab shop building with red iron and free-span,…you know what I am talking about. What is the best way to put up stud walls and sheet rock it. Do you not worry about attaching to the red iron and build free standing walls. Just curious
thanks

First decide if you want an 8' or 9' table. Other dimension is 1/2 of that. I allotted 5' on each of the 4 sizes as the clear zone--no poles, chairs, nothing. It's worked well.
We have an 8 ft table and 14x19 ft seems to be just big enough. We have a couple of chairs in that space which we push out of the way when needed.

Year or so ago we built a dyno room in a building like that, did the freestanding thing with metal studs
