I’ve got a Reddy Heater, kerosene portable heater. The heater runs great for about 15 minutes then stops. I have to push the reset button runs for another couple of minutes and we start the whole routine over again.
What do I have to do to get it fixed?
Thanks,
Martin

I bet it is a low ox sensor. open a window, or do ya have a thermosat and reaching max temp?

No knobs or switches. Just add kerosene and plug it in. Sounds like a jet engine. Runs then dies.Heads I win, tails you lose.
To test it better are you suggesting running it outside so the oxy sensor doesn't trip?Heads I win, tails you lose.
try that..can't hurt.

I;'m thinking that if it is shutting off because of a low oxygen reading, you have potential major carbon monoxide issue. I'm guessing it's over-fired and a temp limit switch is shutting it down.
Is anyone in the space showing CO symptoms? Headaches, flu symptoms, etc? Is anyone vulnerable to CO? Oldster? Infant? Preganant? Immune system problems? On chemo or radiation therapy?
In any case, I strongly advise using a good CO detector in your work space.
At a minimum, get the type with a digital readout ($40-50) Use a low level meter if anyone is vulnerable ($100-130)
I just saw this low level meter at a combustion analysis seminar and was really impressed. It looks like the best one out at this time. http://www.nationalcomfortinstitute.com/members/products2.cfm?product_id=21
They retail at $129 or so: I'm looking into stocking them at wholesale and selling them in the $110 area

Besides the low ox sensor, it could be crud built up on a filter screen in the fuel tank, or some such. Or vacuum building up in the tank due to a clogged vent.
