Possible Hot Water Recirculating Line Pr
I have a recirculating hot water line in my home and I do not know if this type of system always generates warm spots on a concrete foundation. There are several areas that are warm to the touch…in front of the sink, a part of my breakfast nook and a small area in my entry. I don’t think this is a radiant heat flooring situation because it doesn’t seem to be very consistent. Do I need to be concerned about this as I consider reflooring with wood or tile?

So it's a slab foundation correct? And the hot water for the radiator system loops under the floor to get to where it has to go and you're getting warm spots in some areas. I certainly don't see a need for concern if you're going to tile over it . I wouldn't advise to install wood over concrete, never lasts, but I would, and do install laminate flooring over concrete all the time. Check with the supplier regarding those warm spots on the floor I really doubt they'll be a concern. If the laminate is installed correctly, with room for expansion around the edges, then you should be fine.
Thanks for your input.
