Few people understand it. Nobody agrees what it is, how to learn about it, or who's responsible for it. It has never been more important

The easiest solution is to apply cooking oil to the entire surface, wipe up as much as you can with paper towels, and finish up with hot, soapy water.
HD carries poultice in the tile dept.
put it on and cover it with Saran Wrap . Works pretty good.
I did it on limestone.

Andy,
I tried the Aquamix P from HD and I did not get good results, but I did not let it fully dry out before removing it. They say to leave it on for two days. That was not enough time to get it to dry out. But I used the same product and mixed it with Toluol and it sucked the stain out fully on the deck. The cooktop backsplash stain only came out 50%. I am going to try the Aquamix with water blend on that location this time and leave it on for a week. The Toluol is not friendly to humans in a closed environment, but dam does it work! The wife can't take another round of the Toluol. GW
