Does anyone have experience with putting together an Air-Lock log home? They are manufactured here in NM and I am wondering about them.

I would have no idea about that company or its homes. However, when you do build a log home, pay special attention to the flashing of windows and doors. Properly done now means less headaches later. The logs really test your mind. Best of luck.
*There are a number of resources on the Internet regarding log homes, a search should give you some interesting reading. I didn't look for it, but I think Log Home Magazine and/or similar sites exist on the web. There are several producers of Air-Lock log homes, I don't know if they are a franchise outfit, or what, but there used to be a mill that produced Air-Lock logs in Prescott, AZ, when I worked there in the 70's. The "Air-Locks" that I got with a quick web search:http://www.air-lock.com/http://www.air-locklog.com/http://www.nwmontana.com/Pages/inprogress.html A couple of other log house suppliers that I happened to have bookmarked:http://www.glulamlog.com/index.htmlhttp://www.qciloghomes.com/ If you want to read a purists argument of "real" log houses vs the milled lumber log houses, read some of the articles at:http://www.premier1.net/~loghouse/index.html
*Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.
