I have a new home and I’m looking at adding central air (now, before summer kicks in) and I’m wondering what I should expect to pay. There seems to be a wide variety of prices out there.
The house is 2100 square feet plus a 900 square foot basement. It is heated by forced air, so there is no need to add duct work. Based on the builder and neighbors, a 3.5 ton should handle it. Does this sound right? What do I need to consider? What’s a reasonable price to add A/C to this house?
Thanks,
Craig
