The toilets in my home are Gerbers, the “low flow” style, and are about 9 years old. I set the floats to fill them about one inch above the Full line on the tank, because they would not flush thoroughly.
One of them tends to overflow rather easily.
Should I replace them? If so, what is a better brand and type to get? What is the very best brand and type?
Is the slightly overfull tank a factor in their tendency to overflow?
Thanks for your help.

gerber has never been a problem for me. could there be s
something further downstream that is slowing down the flow. i think that water fill line or below will not overflow bowl even if nothing goes down in one flush. not a plumber, bummer.
*OK, here's the poop:When 1.6 gallon flush water closets first became more common during the early 90s (I assume that is what you mean by "low flow"), some manufacturers simply modified existing designs so as to get something on the market quick. By the mid 90s, manufacturers had complete redesigns that were more effective. By the way, I believe that the 1.6 gallon flush WCs were required by a U.S. federal mandate somewhere around 1991 or 92. On the other hand, "low flow" may refer to something else that I am not aware of.
