How do you remove pocket doors that where put up in the 1950’s? At the top of the door there is a 1/2 moon cut out of the trim on both sides. This 1/2 moon is located close to where the door begins to open. The door rides on a single track and there is a wheel that sits on top of this. When the doors are pushed out they hit the wood with the 1/2 moon and cannot be raised. Has anyone seen this type of set up.
thanks

Generally, with a pocket door the stops on one side are designed for easy removal. Remove those, then tilt the door out of the opening and off the track.
