Hey Folks-
Within the last year, a sleek piece of duct work for a forced hot air system that fits under the kick plate of a kitchen cabinet base was given a quick blip in an issue. It allows you to place a heat vent in this tight place. Does anyone remember the issue that featured it or the company that carries it? Thanks for the help!

Are you sure it was for a hot air furnace? There are a lot of toespace heaters available. Reggio Register has one.

I seem to remember this blip...
I think it was a sidebar about a couple of new duct options offered by UNICO. One of them was wide and very thin, and a suggested use was in the kitchen as a toe kick vent.
The Unico system is a high velocity forced-air system. We just retrofit our c. 1913 house with a Unico system to deliver central AC. We had a fantastic summer. It works great. The same system can be used for forced hot air. More common as AC, though, I think.
