I have just completed a deck project that uses 5/4 pressure treated Southern Yellow pine for the flooring. I would like to put a clear bright finish this surface. I have been advised by several non-professionals to wait a year before applying any finish to PT wood. Any advice, suggestions, words of wisdom?

Jeff, thanks for the prompt. I did check the archives (all 5 volumes) and visited a few manufacturers sites. I still don't have (or missed) the answer to whether I need to wait on applying a finish to PT wood.
*UNREGARD. I found the right thread with an answer.
