Pull length and # of bends
I’m putting in a conduit from the house to the shop. It runs roughly 80 lineal feet. At each end there’s a 4′ riser and a 90. There’s another 90 and a pair of 45s in the run. The pipe is 1-1/2″ PVC and the only thing it’s going to carry is lo-vo wire… enough for a couple of phone lines and maybe a split from the satellite dish if I get motivated enough to put a TV out there. I don’t know what the future of technology is, so I’m trying to leave room for whatever may come.
Will I be able to pull this in one shot? I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the limit is (3) 90s in a run before another pulling location is required. As far as I’m concerned the pipe is amply oversize and it should be fine, but I pull wire about once a year and usually it’s a lot shorter than this.
The pipe is not assembled in the middle so I can still pull a string thru each half before gluing the last joint. I might anyway…

.....actually its 360 deg. between pulling points...
one pull shoud be real easy......
david, if you are going to also pull another string for future pulls..... let the string feed itself into the conduit while you are feeding ONLY the wires. .......
