@@ PUNCHLIST software – any users??
Anyone out there using Punchlist on their pda to manage projects?
A friend is starting his new home and is acting as the GC. Since this is not his trade, I thought PL might be of some use in tracking all the details.
If you are using a punchlist program, what do you think of it? Any comments pro and con?
The original PL was bought by Bosch, but Amazon doesn’t show it as available. There seem to be some clones out there. What to buy?

Legal size yellow note pad and a number 2 pencil, works great, no learning curve.
The nice part of pad & pen is you have to think about it as you write it down. Less problem with garbage in garbage out. :)If you have a problem, don't just talk do something to set it right.

I tend to use spreadsheet forms that I can print out. If I find myself entering the same stuff twice, it's time to put the paper aside and create something I can print, modify, twitch, reuse, etc.
Have tried to get our local Habitat to try the program. They get lost in details really fast.

I used to use it for many years starting in 1997. I had the 1st vol. We used to do many townhomes back then 15-20 closings a month. It was a great tool for keeping track of what was going on & what needed to be fixed.
At present they have me doing smaller jobs (11 units), so I have gotten away from using Punch List!
That the original PunchList? How did it work vs. the alternatives?
