Folks, I’m painting my steel sided house because the 17 year old siding is
failing and the colors tend toward the avocado era. I’ve got a number of
small nail holes in the siding which need puttying. What’s best to use?
Bondo? Glazing compound? Simple painters putty? Spackle? All replies read

Mike,
We use auto body bondo for ANY fills or repairs on metal and aluminum siding. If it is a large hole, or if it is a significant size tear, the bondo will tend to crack open when the siding expands and contracts. For nail holes and small tears, it works great.
