Radiant heat from a steam boiler
We have a old house heated by steam and are currently are renovating a kitchen, opening up the ceiling to enlarge the space. Although the space will be insulated well, there is only one radiator in the kitchen.
Recently we changed over from domestic hot water to a tankless unit. Now that the domestic loop is free has anyone heard of running hot water radiant heat through the domestic hot water coil?

So your saying you had a hot water maker powered by your steam boiler?
& now you want to know if that can be used for a radiant system?
If it is in good condition yes.
Have to do some design & engineering < make sure it's big enough>
& a couple of code issues like a back flow preventer & such.
In a nutshell we run a multitude of things off steam boilers all the time.
