I’m looking to get one of the planes Norm Abrams uses that can either put a chamfer or radius on 90 degrees wood edges. I’m having trouble finding one. Any ideas?
thanks

Harlen, Are you talking about the Radi-Planes with the wood bodies?? Try Woodcraft 1-800-225-1153 or Woodworkers Supply 1-800-645-9292

I don't know what Norm is using but it sounds like the kit that Vertas/Lee Valley has. Small, hand held tools that cut 1/16, 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 radii. $15.95. Cat# 05K50.30.

Yeah, that's the one but seems it's discontinued. Sounds like they quit making it (family business) and someone hasn't come forward to buy the product and start manufacturing again. Anyone willing to part with an extra or know of someplace that might have some old stock left?
I tried Woodworkers and Lee Valley.
thanks for the help

Woodcraft said they're out. Did find something called a walnut chamfer plane from Robert Alden 800-249-8665 for $16. the price is about the same so I'm hoping it's the same tool. Thanks for all the help, guys.

*What I use for a chamfer is a groove filed in the front plate of my block plane. its cut in with a three cornered file to the depth that can be heavy or lite depending on how wide I need it, I`ve done to three of my planes for different edges
