I purchased a large (6") brass one and I've got mixed reviews from it.. I like it. My youngest daughter hated it, and my wife doesn't use it.
This is all new plumbing and we've got plenty of pressure but my daughter didn't feel it had enough "power" (I suspect she would have like a fire hose, ..... teenagers, can't live with 'em, can't kill 'em <grin> )
I also put a SECOND SHOWER HEAD IN THE shower and my wife uses that all the time. It's got a regular sized shower head but it sprays at your shoulders rather than over head. That way you can take a shower without getting your hair wet.. That's what my wife uses all the time.
I used a mixer value from a faucet to be able to select which mode you want to use.. Rain shower, shoulder shower, or both.
My rain shower head cost $105.00
Grohe has some really nice ones, but they are pricey. I really like the Grohe stuff I put in. The temperature control valve in the shower is a nice touch, but $600 for a rough in valve is hard to swallow. Kohler has several high end versions too.
