i need a good way to keep the leaves out of a gutter. preferably a way that will make them slide of the roof if possible. its for my 80 year old grandmothers house and her gutters get clogged every fall. any advice or comments would be appreciated.

There's a screen that goes over most gutters that works fairly well. I had reasonable success with the downspouts that had a diverter and hole in the side to 'kick' the leaves out and let the water fall straight down. Don't know what you call the darned things. We had small leaves, I don't think that would work with large leaves. A good building supply store should be able to show you all the options.
