Not to contradict Grant, but my experience was a bit more positive. I think the key is having a setup that's good for them vs not having that. In my case, a traditional gutter would have looked horrible, with downspouts being a scar on the structure no matter where we put them. But without anything, the water was carving up the ground after a 25' straight fall over the drip edge.The RainHandlers dispersed the water so that it didn't carve up the ground and the look fit better than a gutter/downspout. This was off a high porch roof, so the water that fell was 12'-15' from the foundation and downhill from the foundation, certainly not the typical situation.
