Just a lurker here with a question. Have a faucet in a spare bath that we might turn on once a month at most. Every time I turn it on both hot and cold will have about 10 seconds of very foamy white water after which it will clear up. One will also show a bit of rust after the foam clears. The bath is a branch off the main line through a crawl space – maybe a 40 foot run. Would my other faucets do the same thing if I let them sit the same amount of time or is there a possible problem with that run? Thanks for any thoughts.

Well or city water?
If a well, I'd for sure be getting the water tested ASAP.
Herbicides and fertilizers can cause this foaming symptom.
Fairly normal for some areas. Dissolved gas in the water is forming the bubbles.
