Skim-coating with joint compound covers texture, renews old drywall and plaster, and leaves smooth surfaces ready to paint.

Well actually it wasn't the forum side of the registration system that we ran into problems with. Believe it or not the Prospero portion of the new reg was installed and running fine. We ran into some glitches with our databases on the Taunton side. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boy that was fun...

My day is ruined!!!
I thought I had witnessed the first-ever, glitch-free, computer switchover and now you say that ya'll peeked over the edge of the cliff and then chickened out. What ever happened to the old "throw the switch and pray" technique?? - lol.
I spent the last few years of my nuclear engineering career upgrading power plant computer systems. No matter how hard we worked, or how much we planned, the last couple of days ALWAYS involved programmers with that haunted, wild eyed look hunched over their keyboards mumbling incantations. The rest of us went for beer and waited for them to call.
There are times when the "throw the switch and pray" technicque is fine but in this case when we are dealing with customer information, we don't like to live on the edge. If it is not functioning 100% then we back out which is what happened. -MSYSOP[email protected]Have you updated your forum profile lately? Please Do!
I was funning with you, Mark. I wouldn't want your job right now - lol.
I knew that. But I need to keep the "professional" response at the front and center... -MSYSOP[email protected]Have you updated your forum profile lately? Please Do!
