I'm wondering if my problem is unique, or if there are more folks out there who are unhappy with the DW306 saw. In the recent review no mention was made as to dependability. Anyway my saw broke down completely after two years of occasional use. To have it repaired would cost as much as a new one. The company did not seem interested in helping in any way. Anyone with similar experience, or did I get a Friday afternoon reject?
*I'm sorry to hear that. My first advice is not to buy anything yellow anymore. Go with the tried and true - the Millwaukee Super Sawzall, still the best around.
*Warren, I don't have any experience with that saw, (I also own a Milwaukee super saws-all) but there is a Dealt service center locally, I know that they brag that it will never cost over a certain percentage of new cost to totally rebuild a Dealt tool. I have never used this service myself (fortunatually not needed it, unfortunatually it seems someone will always steal my stuff before I can wear it out or break it). I'm in the service center to replace sander pads, lost wrenches, wore out trigger switch, etc. the service center also has discontinued retail returns (new) at great mark-downs. it is worth the trip for these. (but that's my secret, don't everybody else go hogging em all up). David Jalovec D..& S. Construction Watauga, Tx.
