   Unless you know you need it the first day of class I would wait and see what the instructor uses for examples problems. It will make following along a lot easier if you don't have to figure how to do the same functions on your own calculator.

   Calculated Industries is pretty much the industry standard with their Construction Master series. Not cheap but they'll do anything you want and then some. Also offer a few accessories to improve job site durability.

   I use a Construction Master IV at least once every day...

   Someone's got it in for me, they're planting stories in the press
