Does anybody recommend a kitchen and/or bath design software that will display results in 3d? I like one that’s powerful, easy to use, and cheap–or any 2 of the 3.

Wow I was just going to ask the same question. Trying to do kitchen remodels or new and would like a software that is easy to use and doesn't cost $$$$.
I have looked at 2020 design, Home Depot uses it for their kitchen layouts. It looks pretty nice but I think it may be spendy.

Also downloaded some from Deco-Tech have not used it much to know what is what.
You can do a search of the archives on this site for "Cadd Software" or you can go here and take a look at Home Designer Suite 6.0:
http://www.homedesignersoftware.com/
HD Suite 6.0 (they are up to 6.04 now) is about $100
HD Pro is about $500
Chief Architect is about $1700
All programs have the same user interface. Here is a picture of my kitchen done with the $100 program:

Thanks to both replies. My wife and I don't communicate well on remodeling ideas and I am hoping that a 3d view will help me share my ideas with her and give her a chance to say what she likes and what she doesn't. She is spontaneous and I like to have a plan for every nail so we have some pretty good discussions.

Another alternative, especially if this will be "almost a" one-time use software is to go on ebay and search for 3D Home Architect Deluxe Version 3.0. Accept no substitutes. This was developed by the same people who do Chief Architect and was "distributed"/sold by Broderbund.
You should be able to get this for $15 delivered and you will be amazed by its ease of use and power. The kitchen plan I had originally posted was originally developed using 3D HA Deluxe 3.0 and is just being displayed using the latest version of this software - BH&G Home Designer Suite 6.0.

Thank you , Eric. I'll check eBay.
