CPO Bosch has the 10.8V litheon pocket driver for $99.95.
Worth it?
I see they also have it new for $119.95.

It's a great great great tool... we use ours every day. Holds a charge great, tons of torque (for its' size) couldn't be happier with it.

I think someone posted the other day that Bosch reconditioned only have a 1 year warranty vs. new having a 3 year. Just something to check out.
Heck, I'm thinking you money might be better spent investigating the new pocket impact someone was talking about around here a little will back.
But if you want the little pocket driver I got mine new for $90 something thru HeavyDutyTools few months back.

Is this the impactor you're talking about, the bosch 9.6 Impactor?
Hmmm, not a litheon, same price reconditioned from Bosch...

Must be. I just recall reading something about it here on BT.
Thought it would have been a litheon.
I wonder how much different that 9.6 is from a 12?
I run my 12 and that sucker does what ever I need it to. You can stick a 3inch screw thru a knot and then back it out and do it again.Roar! I'm thinking why downsize to a 9.6?

I've got the 18v, which is great, just looking for a small drill/driver for cab installs, liked the looks of the pocket driver.

Might as well give it a whirl then.
If you don't like it you can give it to the wife for the kitchen tool drawer.

Take a close look at these if you buy one - the first models were made in Switzerland - all of the new ones available today are made in Malaysia. Now - maybe that don't matter - but, I'd rather have a swiss made tool myelf. At Lowes and HD - the display's still are the swiss made, but all of the boxed new ones are the Asian made.Might be worth asking if they'll switch out the display models if you were buying one at the store.Online - hard to say if any retailer will be able to honestly tell you which they carry, so YMMV.Re: inpact driver - Bosch has announced a 10.8volt litheon pcket driver version of an impactor driver. Same form factor, same batteries. Check out Tollmonger.com for a review comparing the new 10.8 version against the existing Bosch 14 volt model.JT

They said they are awaiting it's arrival in the stores and it was a late March date on the site if I recall correctly so I'm guessing it could be out any time.

I have intentionally stopped the compulsive buying of tools.
I even let the two Bosch grinder deal walk by.
Friggin got tools I never use and some still in their boxes. Ain't I the goofy guy.

I finally found my longlostlittle compulsive purchasedpowerwasher still in it's box never used with a 1999 postage date on it. Bought over the phone from the lady I was talking to about a switch for a compressor after she pitched it to me with a sales special.
Think about it.

I initially posted about the Bosch grinder deal and although tempted, passed on it myself for those same reasons. Plus, I already have 2 grinders. Then, my neighbor was telling me he couldn't find the deal and that HD said they were all out. So next time I went in there, I noticed they were advertising the two-grinder deal in their current circular, but only had the single packs on the shelf at $69 each.So I talked to a manager and said, hey? WTF - you have them, but just because they aren't shrink wrapped together, you won't honor the deal?So they hooked me up, and by a fluke - sold me two of them for $69!So I hooked my neighbor up with one of them for $37 and now have three grinders! For $37, I'm sorry, I wasn't able to pass it up.Still in the box though...I'm going to have a helluva rummage sale or estate sale when I get older!JT
You gotta watch those... I'm sorry, I wasn't able to pass it up. deals as they can start to accumulate. Snork*

One look in my basement and you'd think I should know this...And here I am thinking about the Festool Domino. I was just thinking to myself earlier today that I must be nuts to buy anything else that's not going to get used on a daily basis.Part of the Domino justification is that I could sell my mortiser and biscuit jointer.JT
Well, I'm trying to downscale my stuff but here's a special I said what the heck over yesterday at the first yardsale of the year with the sun shining, t-shirt on the back with the birds singing in a gentle breeze.
She kept dropping the price to where I finally said enough already tho' it's 24x36 I like the pic and it's a canvassed print in a decent frame.
be so what, the kitstch got me again but if you can't have fun living then somethings wrong.
The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation. From the desperate city you go into the desperate country, and have to console yourself with the bravery of minks and muskrats. A stereotyped but unconscious despair is concealed even under what are called the games and amusements of mankind. There is no play in them, for this comes after work. But it is a characteristic of wisdom not to do desperate things.

I don't worry too much about my yardsale purchases, cause usually that's spending pennies on the dollar.I could tell you about many many, excellant tool deals at rummage sales and the like.Haven't hit one yet this year, but that's a favorite pastime of mine.Regards,Julian
I was the one who posted about the pocket impactor the other day. They had a demo one at the JLC show and said it would be out in May. I think they said the price would be $199 but I've heard that it might be closer to $150. It has 800 lbs of torque and is very slightly bigger than the pocket driver.
"800 lbs of torque "
Um, I doubt it. My turbo Volvo only has 230. And I can't fit the Volvo in my pocket.

That's probably why volvo's have that cage construction. So when it can't get out of its own way, at least you survive the impact. This one is a step up and has 1050 torque. These are inch/lbs of torque too.http://www.boschtools.com/tools/tools-detail.htm?H=175970&G=54698&I=55176

"So when it can't get out of its own way, at least you survive the impact."
You might be surprised just how fast a turbo Volvo is and how much tuning potential is available. A very easy 300 horses in a 3300 lb car means the only problem is getting other drivers out of my way.
