Type in reconditioned tools on the search feature-lots of replies... I am considering a recon 18 volt Dewalt Rt angle drill.
Although it's not a true tool, I have a recon DeWalt radio/charger that I got about 6 years ago when I got my first DeWalt 18V tools and it is used every day and is still going strong. I'm going to get the newer model with digital tuning, though, because the reception on mine is spotty sometimes. When I get the digital one, I'm going to go with a reconditioned one.
have bought from tyler tools ...
and tool king.
and thru amazon.
most of my more expensive stuff is factory reconditioned.
my dewalt miter saw and dewalt table saw are factory reconditioned.
come with the full warrenty.
have had the chop for gotta be 10 or more years ... got the table saw right after they came out. Called tool crib once a week after the saw's hit the stores ... asked if a recond'd was available yet.
I prefer factory recond'd tools.
for one ... they're cheaper. and two ... figure they've been given the once over my human hands. and three ... figure what ever's gonna break already has and has been fixed and tested.
haven't had a problem yet.
