I was hoping to get a rough idea of the going rate for labor on a red cedar roof in New England these days. I know the red cedars are through bthe roof, but how about the labor to install them.

A lot of factors enter into play for what I have done it for, both in KY where I live and in Pa, in the past.
How many valleys? How steep? Hips or ridge length?
I'd venture that for around here, 350.00 a square might get ya in the ball park, so in the NE area probably half again as much.

That one down here I did a few yrs ago, needs Phase two. They want to wait till next year, but I have a feeling, the water will be getting in long before they are prepared to do it. I was just over there a few weeks ago, looks like shredded wheat up there.
Labour only - somewhere between $120/sq and $800/sq. Maybe more, depending....
